Seintalone mangoes produced from Myanmar fetch good price now because of good quality and they are high demand in Chinese market.

Currently, Seintalone mango from Shan State is mostly exported to China and a basket of mango is priced at 150 to 160 Chinese Yuans. Padamyar Ngamauk, Shwe Hintha and Yinkwe mangoes in addition to Seintalone still remain in the market and they are also good demand in the market, according to Myanma Mango and Technological Development Association.

Kyaw Soe Naing, General Secretary, Myanmar Mango Market & Technology Dev’t Association said "In the plain region, the Seintalone mango market is almost empty. The Seintalone mangoes that are currently sold in the market are produced from Shan State and these mangoes are mostly exported to China. We can say that it is good price in Mandalay in the mango abundance season."

China mostly purchase Seintalone mango in the mango season and they also buy other mango species from Myanmar to export to other countries.

Kyaw Soe Naing, General Secretary, Myanmar Mango Market & Technology Dev’t Association said "The peel of Seintalone mango is thinner than other mango species and they are bought for Yunnan province. The peel of Shwe Hintha mango is thicker than Seintalone and so, they are convenient for transportation. That’s why, Shwe Hintha mangoes are also good demand in Chinese market. "

Seintalone mango is produced from mid-April to the beginning of July in Myanmar. In 2022, mango is exported mainly to China and Singapore and the mango prices were high in the whole May.
