The Mayor of South Korean capital Seoul warned on Monday that if recent infection rates continued the city could soon see hundreds of cases a day. At a news briefing, the mayor said if Seoul is infiltrated by the virus, the entire Republic of Korea will be infiltrated. If the metropolitan areas are infiltrated, all the efforts made so far will have gone to waste.
He added that there is a chance the country have to go back to strict social distancing. On Tuesday, South Korea added 46 cases, with six recorded in Seoul, reporting a total of 12,484 according to the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (KCDC).
