Shanghai facilitates payments for foreign visitors

Shanghai has adopted a series of measures including deploying more international card-supported payment terminals and simplifying online payment apps registration to make it easier for foreign nationals to make payments in China. The move is part of an initiative launched by the country to solve the troubles faced by foreign nationals when using China’s cashless payment services.

As paying by credit cards remains the dominating payment outside China, installing more such point-of-sale machines is the most convenient way to make payments easier for foreign visitors. Such machines are installed in areas such as railway stations, airports, and shopping venues in the metropolis.
