Special Meeting: SAC Chairman attends meeting on development

Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing on Monday presided over the special meeting on development of the Naga Self-administered Zone.

During the meeting, the Senior General heard reports on matters including provision of solar panels for electrification, loans from the State Economic Promotion Fund, issuance of national registration cards, promotion of agriculture and livestock sector and the need for electricity and to upgrade transportation, education, sports and telecommunications sectors.

In his response, the Senior General pledged to build a sports ground, think about permanent electricity supply and permanent water supply, to complete construction of the Chindwin River-crossing HtaManThi Bridge, to upgrade roads and to promote education, agriculture and livestock sectors.

And, MSME owners reported on electricity requirements and expansion of the MSME sector. In their response, the union ministers explained assistance for the MSME sector development, upcoming assistance for agriculture and livestock sector, ongoing process for electrification and plans for better education and healthcare sectors.

Also, the Senior General stressed the importance of food security and abundance, good health, education and urged the attendance to increase the local products manufacturing. He also pledged to increase the electricity generation and called for cooperation for the regional development.

After the meeting, the Senior General provided gifts for the governmental employees. And, he visited the Lahe Township Sport Ground and gave necessary instructions to concerned officials to upgrade it.
