Sport Sector: 2022 Judo Competition & Awarding Ceremony

The 2022 state/region Judo competition continued on Tuesday afternoon at the Wunna Theikdi Stadium (A) in Nay Pyi Taw.
Union ministers U Maung Maung Ohn, U Myint Kyaing, U Min Thein Zan and Dr. Htay Aung and many other officials watched the competition and presented awards. In the men’s 3rd place event, the Rakhine State Team beat the Ayeyawaddy Region Team and the Bago Region Team beat the Shan State Region Team.
In the women’s 3rd place event, the Bago Region Team beat the Shan State Region Team and the Mandalay Region Team beat the Rakhine State Team. In the men’s final match, the Kachin State Team beat the Yangon Region Team, and in the women’s final match, the Kachin State Team beat the Ayeyawaddy Region Team. And, awards were presented to the Kachin State Team, Yangon Region Team, Rakhine State Team and Bago Region Team which earned winning in the men’s events, and also to the Kachin State Team, Ayeyawaddy Region Team, Bago Region Team and Mandalay Region Team in the women’s events.
Also, awards were presented to men and women participants who gained winning in the weight classes events. And, awards were also presented to the best man and woman participants. Trophies were also presented to the Kachin State Team which earned 11 gold medals, 7 silver medals and 2 bronze medals in the men’s and women’s events.
