Sport Sector: U-25 Sepak Takraw Competition held in Shan State

The U-25 Township level Men and Women Sepak Takraw Competition for the Shan State Chief Minister’s Trophy began at the state training stadium on November 2.
At the competition, Shan State Chief Minister U Aung Zaw Aye said that outstanding athletes will be selected athletes for the region/state Sepak Takraw competition in Nay Pyi Taw. He also added that the competition is held with the aims to improve standard of Sepak Takraw sport, to turn out new generation athletes and outstanding athletes who can raise the prestige of the country’s sport sector.
After presenting cash award to the Basic Education High School No. 7 musical band troop, the Chief Minister and party enjoyed the first-round competition of Kalaw and Naungcho townships teams. 36 men teams and 13 women teams from 36 townships participate in this U-25 township level Sepak Takraw event and the competition is set to be held from 2nd to 5th November.
