State Administration: C-in-C Attends Council’s Meeting (10/2021)

Chairman of the State Administration Council Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing addressed the Council’s meeting (10/2021) on Monday in Nay Pyi Taw. The meeting at the meeting hall of the State Administration Council was also attended by Vice-Chairman of the Council Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win and many other high ranking officials.

In his address, the Senior General called for efforts to focus on the tasks for national interest based on the 5-point Road Map of the State Administration Council. He also highlighted the importance of adherence to COVID-19 prevention guidelines, COVID-19 vaccination programme in the country also for students, teachers and tutors, vaccines purchase, COVID-19 impacts on the country’s economy and education, and relief plan.

The Senior General urged the attendees to successfully implement livestock and agricultural sector, based on pure strain and research, and also, to expand cooking oil sector to reduce import and to import standard cooking oil if necessary. He also called for efforts to enhance SMEs and manufacturing sectors and to improve the country’s education system. The Senior General highlighted plans to provide cash assistance to teachers and efforts to reopen schools.

Attendees reported on matters includiding security measures for tutors, teachers and students, cooperation with the public, actions against those who try to break the future of the country and students, plans for smooth banking system and public trust, electricity generation, enactment of necessary law and by-law and issuance of orders and instructions to guarantee local and foreign investments, border trade, agricutural loan and opening of healthcare centers in remote areas.

The Senior General highlighted plans for matters including promotion of the country’s sports level in ASEAN, importance of basic education, use of high technology for cooking oil sector, assistance for monastic education and appointment of doctors and nurses.
