Syrian Minister, UN envoy discuss cooperation

On Sunday, Foreign and Expatriates Minister of Syria Faysal Mikdad discussed with the UN Special Envoy to Syria, Geir Pedersen, the existing cooperation between Syria and the UN and the facilities provided by the Syrian government to the UN offices in Syria.Mikdad referred to the Syrian government’s efforts to improve the humanitarian situation in Syria and achieve recovery.

Pedersen stressed the need for all relevant parties to respect the sovereignty and integrity and unity of the territory and people of Syria.The UN envoy underlined the importance of all countries implementing their obligations under the United Nations Charter to restore security and stability throughout the Syrian Arab Republic.
