TAKING BACK HOME: MYANMAR NATIONALS STRANDED IN BANGLADESH BROUGHT BACK

Myanmar nationals stranded in Bangladesh due to the suspension of international airlines under the COVID-19 preventive measures in Bangladesh were brought back by a special flight for the fourth time on 27th September.

In the repatriation with the permission of the ministry of foreign affairs, totaling 24 passengers including 18 Myanmar seafarers stranded in Chittagong, 3 Dhaka and foreigners who have received recommendations from respective ministries to continue the implementation of ongoing projects in Myanmar were on board.
The special flight departed from Dhaka International Airport of Bangladesh at 2 Pm local standard time on September 27.

The Myanmar embassy staff in Dhaka helped necessaries for the passengers at the airport. The special flight arrived at Yangon International Airport at 3:45 PM, it’s learnt.
