Technology Promotion: About 70 Projects Present At YTU Students Showed

The 3rd edition of the Yangon Technology University (YTU) Project Show 2020 took place at its assembly Hall in Yangon on Wednesday.

This project show aimed to emerge the creative and innovative idea of the students as well as the constellation of the compelling technological skills of the students. 

Professor (Head), Civil Engineering Department ( YTU), Dr. Nyan Myint Kyaw said “This project show will bring our students imagination practically to their student life as an extra curriculum activity. The respective teachers also supervised technically and supported financially by raising fund. The university also presents the best projects.”

The project show was organized by YTU student’s Union with the support of the concern specialization departments and private companies.

Vice Chairman,  Yangon Technological University Student’s Union, Aung Kyaw Khant said “Our student's union invited the students to participate and held a meeting with concern department administration to hold successfully this project show.  The students are very interested and the projects are being increased every year. It has 5 to 10 members for one team. We also invited other universities and high schools students as well as private companies to observe our project show and to have interest for our project economically.” 

The students from 14 specialization departments exhibited the 68 projects in this 3rd edition. 

4th Year (Civil Engineering), Yangon Technological University, Ei Ei Aye said “We show the moveable river crossing bridge type. It is easy to control with machine and no need to build high bridge. Most of the countries used such kind of bridges but in Myanmar, it has not been used. Project show is really support for our create thinking and improvement of practical skills and general knowledge. It will benefit to our exam and our real life.”    

It is learnt that the students who participated in the project show will obtain the credit points GPA for students’ academic experience.
