Thai PM urges unity at APEC CEO summit

World business and government leaders gather in Bangkok this week for the 29th Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Forum. At the opening ceremony, Thai Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-ocha said the return of the physical summit sends a positive single to everyone in Asia-Pacific and the packed venue today reflects the region's reality that we are fully back in business.

The APEC CEO Summit also aims to promote public-private sector dialogue. The Prime Minister also said Thailand hopes that leaders would adopt the APEC's Bangkok Goals, a roadmap for economic growth with a heavy emphasis on sustainability.The annual APEC meeting brings together leaders from the 21 economies on both sides of the Pacific Ocean for bilateral talks and side deals.
