Thingyan Celebration: Successful completion of traditional festival

Myanma New Year Maha Thingyan Water Festival was resoundingly held from 13th to 16th of April.
In Yangon, from morning to evening of Atat Day of Thingyan, Yein Dance Troupes, traditional ethnic dance troupes, artists from Myanmar Motion Picture Organization, Myanmar Music Association and Myanmar Thabin Association entertained at Yangon Maha Thingyan Pandal, People’s Square Walking Thingyan and Royal Apex Pandal.
At 5:00 PM in the evening, closing ceremonies were conducted at the pandals with the attendance of Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein and wife, Yangon Command Commander Maj-Gen Zaw Hein and wife, Ministers and wives, Yangon Mayor and wife, and officials and invited guests. After the New Year Greetings extended by the Chief Minister, the ceremony concluded by singing “Mann TaungYeik Kho” song.
Then, the Chief Minister and wife and party presented 1st, 2nd and 3rd winner Yein dance troupes at the team competition events.
