Trilateral Friendship: Establishment Of MIC

Myanmar-India-China Friendship and Development Association (MIC) was established on 27th July, Saturday.

The founding ceremony was held in Yangon with the attendance of over 100 entrepreneurs. The establishment of MIC aims to connect businesses between Myanmar, India and China for further strengthening relations and boosting economy between the three countries. Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture Thura U Aung Ko, Yangon Region Chief Minister U Phyo Min Thein, Chinese and Indian Ambassadors to Myanmar Chen and the Chairman of Kachin Ethnics Entrepreneur Association take role as the Patron of MIC.

Vice Chairman, Myanmar-India-China Friendship and Development Association, Hla Shwe said “Myanmar-India-China Friendship and Development Association (MIC) has been formed through negotiation between Chinese and Indian Ambassadors and the President of Shwe Than Lwin Co., Ltd. The Association intends to promote friendship, unity and economy between the three nations. As Myanmar is strategically situated between India and China, we hope… we can gain interest and opportunities. After founding the Association, the exchange of visit will enhance between us, bringing the beneficial outcomes.”

The Chairman of MIC pointed out that Myanmar is strategically important for India and China. The concrete ties are strengthening between G2G and also efforts are being made to promote people-to-people friendship. The MIC has come to be part of promoting trilateral P to P friendship by joining hands among businesses.

Managing Director, Plus 3 Décor Co., Ltd., Le Yee Win said “As we have close ties with neighboring countries China and India, I hope this MIC will help for more transparent partnership. We will grab opportunities when the time comes. Not only business but also friendship plays a vital role and the MIC would be great for all of us to get better network.”

The Myanmar Hengyi Technology Co., Ltd. donated 40 million kyats to the Association and the donation was received by Chairman of Kachin Entrepreneur Association U Khat Htein Nan. A private company will be formed based on the MIC with the capital investment of 500 billion.
