Turkmenistan President visit to New York

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov left on Monday on a working visit to New York to participate in the 78th session of the UN General Assembly.

At the session, new initiatives of Turkmenistan will be announced aimed at ensuring peace and security on the planet, achieving the Sustainable Development Goals proclaimed by the UN, including strengthening international cooperation in such areas as energy, transport, ecology and climate change.

As part of the visit, the President is also scheduled to participate in the Summit in the Central Asia – United States of America “C5+1” format. Along with this, he will hold a number of bilateral meetings, including with the UN Secretary General.
