U-12 Junior Soccer World Challenge: Myanmar national U-12 team departed for Japan

The Myanmar national U-12 team departed for Japan on Tuesday evening via Yangon International Airport to participate in the U-12 Junior Soccer World Challenge 2023 to be held in Chiba, Japan from 24 to 27 August.

Myanmar national U-12 team is comprised of 7 coaches and 18 athletes, altogether 25.

Moe Thwin Htun, In-charge, Myanmar national U-12 team, said " We couldn’t participate in the tournament in the previous years because of COVID-19. With the instruction of the Chairman and the sponsorship of AYA side, we participate in the tourney this year. We have selected 18 athletes; 11 from Myanmar Football Academy and 7 from outsider."

The U-12 Junior Soccer World challenge 2023 will be held in Chiba, Japan from 24th to 27th August. 

Moe Thwin Htun, In-charge. Myanmar national U-12 team, said " Our team is in the Group-C and first, we will play against Barcelona. And then, we will compete with the World Junior Team that is arranged by the Organizing Committee. We are satisfied for the children. We hope to emerge new generation selected athletes through their experiences. According to my experiences, I see that these juniors will be able to play at their best in the age group events in 2029. "

Along with the Barcelona Junior team, the Myanmar youth team is in the same group as the Daiwa House Dream youth team and the JEF United Chiba U-12 youth team in Group C.‌
