U-16 Football Tournament: Magwe Region team defeated Kachin State team 4-0

Magwe Region U-16 team defeated Kachin State team 4-0 at the final match of 2022 States and Regions U-16 Football Tournament on Thursday. 

The final match at Wunna Theikdhi Stadium in Nay Pyi Taw was enjoyed by members of the State Administration Council Dr Banyar Aung Moe and U Shwe Kyein, military officers, Deputy Ministers, departmental personnel, officials from Myanmar Football Federation, staff from the ministries and football fans.

The best goalkeeper award went to Thura Zaw of Taninthayi Region, the best defender to Min Htet Zaw of Kachin State, the best midfielder to Aung Khant Phyo of Yangon Region, the best attacker to Win Pyae Maung of Magwe Region and the best player award to Set Paing Tun of Magwe Region.

Yangon Region team stood at the fourth place and Taninthayi Region at third place. The Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs jointly organized the 2022 States and Regions U-16 Football Tournament from 20th October to 3rd November. A total of 13 teams took part in the tournament which aims for development of the Myanmar football industry and turning out new generation.
