Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Saturday said Russia's military operation in the frontlines of Ukraine was "very complicated".

Russia has intensified efforts to capture the larger cities of Sievierodonetsk and nearby Lysychansk, which are the last major areas under Ukrainian control in Luhansk province.

Zelenskyy also announced new missile strikes on the Sumy region, as well as shelling of Mykolaiv, following a death of a woman. He spoke with United Kingdom Prime Minister Boris Johnson on defence, fuel supply and the blockade of goods.
