The UN is extremely concerned about the fate of civilians as hostilities further escalate in Ukraine.

Stéphane Dujarric, Spokesperson for the UN Secretary-General said “We urge the parties to the conflict to abide by their obligations under international humanitarian law to protect civilians and civilian infrastructure and to allow rapid and unimpeded passage of humanitarian goods so they can reach those civilians who need it."

Dujarric announced the United Nations has now reached 7.6 million people with humanitarian aid that's an 11% increase from the 6.85 million people reached by the end of last week.
