Updates on Myanmar Situation: SAC Information Team makes clarifications

On November 27th, Major General Zaw Min Tun, the leader of the Information Team of the State Administration Council, provided updates on the situation in Myanmar.

The Major General highlighted the arrival of China’s naval ships in Yangon for a goodwill visit, crackdown on illegal residencyin border areas, extensive propaganda by the Western media based on the research papers of the USIP (United States Institute of Peace) organization, which is backed by the US government, attacks on the cultural building and prison in the northeastern Shan State and Kayah State, attacks in Rakhine State and alarm campaigns taking advantage of the situation in the northeastern region of the country.
