US, allies hold talks at APEC after NKorea launch

US Vice President Kamala Harris and other Pacific Region leaders met at the APEC summit in Bangkok on Friday to condemn a missile test conducted by North Korea on Friday morning.

According to South Korean and Japanese estimates, the North Korean missile flew about 6,000-6,100 kilometers at a maximum altitude of 1,000 kilometers.

The test was North Korea's second major weapons test this month. As she met with allies in the Thai capital, Harris said "this conduct by North Korea most recently is a brazen violation of multiple UN Security resolutions.
