In addition to lobster, Viet Nam’s tuna exports also showed remarkable growth in the first quarter, exceeding $220 million. However, enhancing export value continues to be a challenge for several South Central provinces.
In recent years, fishermen in BinhDinh province have introduced measures to improve the quality of their tuna catches. They use pulse generators sourced from Japan to stun the tuna before harvesting.
However, the high cost proved to be a barrier for many fishermen to utilize this machine. The introduction of a locally manufactured pulse generator largely solved this pricing issue. As a result, this device has become widely used among local fishermen.
