According to information from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Vietnam is actively increasing rice exports in the wake of rice export bans in certain countries.

This is an opportunity for the Vietnamese economy as well as the agricultural sector to gain market share and promote the value of Vietnamese rice.

As stated by the Department of Crop Production, rice production across the country is progressing well. But in order to have more supply, the Department of Crop Production will upscale the autumn-winter crop area in the Mekong Delta from 650,000 hectares to 700,000 hectares.

The goal of producing more than 43 million tons of rice this year is considered feasible as weather response and pest management in agriculture continues to improve.
