More than 200 travellers arrived in Vietnam from South Korea on Saturday and they will have to spend their holidays in a designated resort to follow the virus safety protocols, according to information posted on the website of Vietnam's National Administration of Tourism.

The flight to Phu Quoc Island is the official launch of Vietnam's "vaccine passport" pilot program, which will allow fully vaccinated travellers to enter the country on chartered flights.
The tourists will be tested for COVID-19 upon arrival. They will be able to join the group for activities after receiving a negative result.

Their schedule will include sightseeing, shopping and attending entertainment events at "vaccine passport"-approved destinations. The island is planning to vaccinate next month for children aged 12 to 17.
