Welcome Ceremony held for Singapore PM

Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh hosted a welcome ceremony in Hanoi on August 28 for his Singaporean counterpart, Lee Hsien Loong, who is on an official visit to Viet Nam.  

Vietnamese Prime Minister welcomed the emphasizing the important significance of the visit in the context of the two countries celebrating the 50th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations and the 10th anniversary of their strategic partnership.

Mr. Lee hailed Vietnam's great achievements in post-pandemic socio-economic recovery and development, emphasizing Viet Nam is an important strategic partner of Singapore in the region.

The two Prime Ministers agreed to strengthen cooperation in defence, security, finance, banking, education and training, improving the quality of human resources, culture, tourism, digital transformation, energy, innovation and building a national data centre.
