Yunnan Hand in Hand Program: YNP AFFC donates solar lamp posts to YESC

Donation Ceremony of 60 pairs of solar lamp posts to Yangon Electricity Supply Corporation organized by Internal working Platform of Yunnan Association for Friendship with foreign countries (YNP AFFC) through the Yunnan Hand in Hand Program was held at the Myanmar International Education Centre in Thingangyun township on Tuesday.

On the occasion, Yangon Region Minister for Natural Resources U Zaw Win said 50 out of 60 solar pairs have already been posted along the circular road of Thuwunna Stadium and the rest have been donated and transferred to the Ministry of Electricity in Nay Pyi Taw.

He also expressed words of thanks to the YNP AFFC for the donation. He added that as solar bulbs used in lamp posts can be saved power consumption and it can reduce the impacts on the environment as it is green energy.

Then, Commercial attaché from the Chinese embassy in Myanmar explained the aim of donating solar lamp posts. Next, Yunnan Commercial Representative Office in Myanmar Director Mr. Gao Wei extended greetings and handed over the document of the donation to the Chairman of YESC who returned the certificate of honour.
