108 days recitation of Uppatasanti: MoRAC UM attended opening ceremony of recitation

The Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture U Tin Oo Lwin and officials arrived at Mahajanaka Pariyatti monastery in Tatkone Township of Nay Pyi Taw Council at 10 AM on 23rd December and offered alms-food, flowers, water and fruits to the Buddha Image in the Mahajanaka Beikman.

Opening ceremony of uninterrupted recitation of Uppatasanti Pali scripture was held at the Mahajanaka Pariyatti monastery and the Union Minister, permanent secretary and officials attended the ceremony.

The congregation first, observed the five precepts administered by the Presiding Sayadaw Baddanta Vannaraha and took the Paritta Suttas recited by the members of Sangha. Next, the Union Minister U Tin Oo Lwin supplicated religious affairs regarding with the uninterruppted recitation of Uppatasanti Pali scripture for 108 days started from 5th November, 2023 and this is the 49th Day. The recitation has been arranged to be held for five days per monastery in the townships of Nay Pyi Taw Council, Union Territory.

Then, the presiding Sayadaw Baddanta Vannaraha sent metta or loving-kindness for all beings in the country and on the world, delivered a sermon and the congregation shared the merits gained.

Afterward, the Union Minister and party paid homage to the Moe Gaung Hsu-Taung-Pyae Buddha Image in Tatkone Township and offered cash donation through the pagoda board of trustee.
