117th ABU Administrative Council meeting in Sri Lanka

The two day 117th Administrative Council meeting of the Asia Pacific Broadcasting Union took place at Colombo, Sri Lanka on Thursday.

The meeting discussed policy matters, finances and current issues. ABU’s “board of directors” called the Administrative Council, consists of 18 member countries who are elected by the members at the annual General Assembly for a three-year term. Apart from Doordarshan which is an Indian state-owned public television broadcaster, public broadcasters from 17 member countries are a part of the Union’s administrative council.
