130 poisonous frogs seized at Bogota airport

Colombia authorities have seized 130 poisonous frogs being trafficked through the Bogota airport and have arrested the Brazilian woman carrying them on Monday. The Brazilian woman was traveling to Sao Paulo, Brazil, about to make a stopover in Panama and intended to sell them.

The frogs known as Harlequin poisonous species is native to the humid forests of the Pacific and has an exotic beauty, but it is one of the deadliest in the world. It is in high demand on international markets, the vast majority of which are illegal collectors pay up to little more $1,000 for each living specimen.
