14th Anniverary of UEC: Celebration held at Union Election Commission’s Office

14th Anniversary celebration of Union Election Commission (UEC) was held at UEC Office on Sunday.

In his opening speech, Chairman of UEC U Ko Ko highlighted the measures of commissions undertaken during 14-year period and preparations for the upcoming election to be a free and fair one, accepted by the voters and international community. He also mentioned the assistance and honourary awards being rendered to the staff as necessary.

During the ceremony, 13 staff who achieved outstanding awards in the training conducted by Civil Service Academy  and the Ministry of Transport and Communications were presented honorary awards. The celebration then followed with lucky draw program and entertainment by artists from fine arts department of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture.
