The 77th Anniversary of Mon National Day was celebrated in Dawei of Taninthayi Region, on Sunday.

Chief Minister U Myat Ko delivered a speech, emphasizing the regional government's commitment to promoting and conserving the traditional culture, customs, language, and arts of ethnic people residing in the area. He urged all Mon nationals to unite in their efforts to progress their traditional culture and customs.

Every year, on the 1st Waning Day of Tabodwe, Mon nationals across the country celebrate Mon National Day with great tradition and prestige. The occasion aims to preserve Mon language, culture, customs, and history, strive for conservation and sustainable development, achieve unity among Mon nationals with patriotic fervor, and contribute to building a federal union with the united strength of all national brethren.
