86th MRCS Central Council Meeting: MoH Union Minister gave an opening remark

The opening ceremony of 86th Red Cross Central Council meeting of Myanmar Red Cross Society (MRCS) was held at the Headoffice of MRCS in Nay Pyi Taw in the afternoon on 28th February and was attended and gave opening remark by the Union Minister for Health Proffesor Dr. Thet Khaing Win.

In his opening remark, the Union Minister said that it appears that Myanmar Red Cross Society is a reserve force of the country and it’s implementing the objectives of the society including without discrimination of race, religious, color, class and rich and poor in the implementation of humanitarian measures and the mitigation of suffering for anyone. By the MRCS Presiden, Executive Committee members and Central Council members who are serving in present tenure of conference, to be able to set the strong and important principles and guidelines, the advantages and disadvantages for the tasks of Red Cross Society should be systematically reviewed and set the future responsibilities. During the meeting of the Chairman of the State Administration Council with International Committee for Red Cross, the matters to carry out the humanitarian assistance works to be developped and successful in the country were discussed and it will be found out that the State Administration Council acknowledged on the humanitarian task of the Red Cross Society. Moreover, in the implementation of the humanitarian assistant works, all are urged to adopt the three our main causes as the national duty because the Red Cross Society is Humanitarian Organization which is carrying out the cause of the country. By using the experiences and knowledge of the central Council members as the driving force, the objectives and work plans of MRCS to be successful with the forces of society members and the Red Cross volunteer youth, the effort should be made.

Next, the MRCS President Professor Dr. Myo Nyunt clarified the work implementations on the social contributions.

Then, the Red Cross Society members of volunteers from Uttarathiri District of Nay Pyi Taw sung the song of “Red Cross Society for All” and the Video clip on Red Cross activities was screened in honoring the 86th Red Cross Central Council meeting. After that, the Union Minister and attendees posed for the documentary photo.
