Accelerating Economic Development: Progress Meeting for Myanmar Special Economic Zones

Chairman of the Myanmar Special Economic Zone Central Working Committee, Union Minister at the Chairman of the State Administration Council Office (2) U Aung Naing Oo held a meeting with Chairmen and members of Kyauk Phyu and Dawei Special Economic Zone Management Committees and staff in Yangon on Friday.
The Union Minister emphasized the government's swift implementation of the Kyauk Phyu SEZ, considering its crucial significance for the country. Simultaneously, the Dawei SEZ, along with the construction of the Deep Sea Port, industrial works, and oil and petroleum factories, is set to proceed.
The Union Minister underscored the importance of executing industrial projects that can generate job opportunities for locals at both project sites. Attendees provided updates on the work undertakings at the project sites, and the Union Minister instructed a thorough review and assessment of the work processes to ensure success.
