Bali Establish Task Force to Oversee Tourists

Bali Provincial Government established Special Public Order Agency to oversee tourists especially foreigners suspected of breaking the law or disrespecting Balinese culture. Acting Governor of Bali said in a statement that the presence of Public Order Agency in tourism sector is very important in Bali as it is not only major tourism destination in Indonesia, but also in the world.
The tourism task force is expected to ensure public order, security, and the enforcement of local regulations at tourist destinations in Bali. The Governor also asked the tourism task force to oversee the implementation of the government’s policy to collect tourism fee 10 us dollars from foreign tourists. All international visitors to Bali will be required to pay the tourism fee beginning on February 14th on arrival.
