Bilateral Cooperation: Myanmar Tatmadaw (Air) delegation ends Thailand trip

The Myanmar Tatmadaw (Air) delegation, led by Commander-in-Chief (Air) General Tun Aung, began their visit to Thailand on April 30 at the invitation of Royal Thai Air Chief Marshal PunpakdeePattanakul.

On the same day, the delegation and the Royal Thai Air Chief discussed bilateral friendship and acceleration of cooperation between the two air forces. On the 1st of May, the Royal Thai Air Chief held a welcome ceremony and the Commander-in-Chief (Air) General Tun Aung took a salute of the Guard of Honour, laid wreath in front of the statue of Field Marshal Prince Chakrabongse, the founder of the Royal Thai Air Force, signed the guest book, held a meeting with the Royal Thai Air Chief and exchanged badges.

At the conference room, the two sides discussed bilateral friendship and acceleration of cooperation between the two air forces. At the Air War College, the Commander-in-Chief (Air) General Tun Aung signed the guest book, held talks with the Commandant, heard the history of the College and its procedures and visited the National Security Practice Room. The delegation also visited the Sea Life Paragon Department Store. Later the day, the delegation attended an honourary dinner hosted by the Royal Thai Air Chief.

On the 2nd of May, the delegation paid homage to the Wat TraimitWittayaramWorawihan Temple, the Wat Arun Temple and the Wat Pho Temple. Also, the delegation visited the Royal Barge Museum. On the 3rd of May, the delegation arrived back in Yangon and was welcomed by high-ranking officials at the Yangon International Airport.
