Celebrating Union Day: MSME Expo promotes ethnic unity and economic dev’t

In commemoration of the 77th anniversary of Union Day, the MSME Products Expo was organized in Nay Pyi Taw.

Vice Chairman of the State Administration Council Deputy Prime Minister Vice Senior General Soe Win attended the opening ceremony of the expo on Saturday.

The expo aims to facilitate market penetration and boost the production of value-added products by fostering information exchange among ethnic entrepreneurs from different regions and states.

Ethnic Affairs Minister, Kayin State Government, San Ko said "By participating in this expo, we can foster friendships among the national races from various states and regions. Simultaneously, we can explore the lifestyles of each national race while tasting traditional cuisines from different areas. Moreover, we can share knowledge on improving our production processes for better quality, leading to the development of respective regions."

The exhibition, running from the 10th to the 14th of February, showcases MSME products from Nay Pyi Taw and various Regions and States, featuring export items and traditional foods.

Economic Minister, Bago Region Government, Tin Oo said "As directed by the Head of State, we primarily showcase products based on agriculture, livestock, and industrial sectors. Particularly, our focus lies on import substitution and the development of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). By participating in the expo, we can broaden market opportunities. A notable accomplishment is that one of the exhibitors, YoeYarMaung, secured an order worth over 9 billion kyats through this expo."

Manufacturing Director, Super Seven Stars Industrial Development Co., Ltd, Myint Win said "As an Industrial Development Company, we aspire to foster technological progress in the production of quality products utilizing locally-sourced raw materials. Our aim is to offer a One-Stop Service for entrepreneurs in Myanmar, providing assistance with technology and equipment. Subsequently, we will collect finished goods from their factories and distribute them to the market with internationally recognized quality standards."

MSME businesses from 15 Regions and State including Nay Pyi Taw are being displayed in one place. Public can visit the expo daily from 8:00 am to 10:00 pm, while enjoying food stalls of national races.
