Chile launches its first high-speed railway line

Chileon Friday unveiled its first high-speed railway line, which can reach a maximum speed of 160 kilometers per hour and authorities said it is the fastest in South America.
The new train operates between the Curico and the capital, Santiago, 195 kilometers to the north.Transport Minister of Chile said that it is a historic moment for Chile and South America and it is the very first train of this type entered commercial service.
It was a great milestone for the project and desire of all Chileans to recover and improve the country’s railway network. These trains are also accessible to people with disabilities.
