Commodity Price Issue : Committee for Stability of Commodity holds meeting

To increase the production process and stability of commodity price in Nay Pyi Taw council area, a work coordination meeting 3/2023 was held at the meeting hall of the Nay Pyi Taw Council office on Friday and it was attended by Chairman of Committee for Nay Pyi Taw Stability of Commodity Price and Nay Pyi Taw Council U Than Htun Oo, members of Nay Pyi Taw Council, and other concern officials. 

At the meeting, Chairman of Committee U Than Htun Oo made an opening speech saying that the committee has been working to ensuring the food security for the local people, stabilization of commodity price, and increase the production rate in Nay Pyi Taw Council area. He urged to take action effectively on the issues that will disrupt the stability of commodity prices in accordance with the law.

He also urged departments to draw up the plans and implement under the instructions to stabilize the commodity prices, fully sell the basic foodstuffs, presence of sufficient edible oil and fuel, increase the production of MSME products for export.

He added that the departments need to cooperate to improve basic food production activities such as agriculture and livestock sectors and implement the One Region One Product in Nay Pyi Taw Council Area.

Then, officials reported their working activities on stability of Commodity prices, cultivation and production of edible oil crops, and Committee Chairman U Than Htun Oo fulfilled the requirements submitted by the attendees.
