Cooperative and Rural Affairs: Union Minister holds meeting and makes inspection

Union Minister for Cooperatives and Rural Development U Hla Moe on Wednesday afternoon visited the Cooperative Department in Myitkyina of Kachin State and met with the state/district/township-level officials and staff.

During this meeting, the Union Minister urged attendees to cooperate and work together achieve the Ministry’s goals in time, to provide inputs, strains and fertilizers to members of the cooperative enterprises for cultivation, to participate in the One Village One Product-OVOP programme for further development of MSMEs, to complete development projects in time, to dedicate to rural people's income raising activities and development activities and to follow the governmental employee ethics.

And, the Union Minister coordinated requirements presented by the attendees. After the meeting, the Union Minister inspected the Weaving and Vocational Training School and held talks with officials and trainees on the equipment provision for those who complete training to run business.

He also urged them to produce modern designs without losing the tradition of weaving. And, the Union Minister inspected the weaving and vocational training classes.
