Drug Seizure: Over 3.3 billion kyats worth stimulant tablets seized

Myanmar Police Forces seized 1.65 million stimulant tablets worth over 3.3 billion kyats in Pyay and Min Hla townships. Acting on a tip-off, a combined team consisting of security forces searched the Isuzu Light Truck at the top of the Nawaday Bridge in Pyay Township of Bago Region at 9:00 am on 13th February.

The Police seized 1.41 million stimulant tablets on the vehicle. According to the investigation, the combined team found 240,000 stimulant tablets with 3 suspects on a Bighorn vehicle at 7:30 p.m in Minhla Township of Magway Region and arrested another suspect, who was involved in carrying stimulant tablets at the guest house in Mindone Township on 14th February.

According to the investigation, it was found that the seized stimulant tablets were being transported from Yangon Region to the border of Rakhine State.The case was filed a lawsuit in line with the law.
