Ethnic affairs :MoEA UM met with Naga literature and culture comm

The Union Minister for Ethnic Affairs Jeng Phang Naw Taung who is currently in Naga Self-Administered Zone of Sagaing Region, together with the officials met with the ethnic literature and culture committees of Naga Self-Administered Zone at Naga Cultural Museum in the morning on 16th January.

In his remark at the meeting, the Union Minister said that the Ministry is implementing for the preserving and promotion of ethnic literature and culture, for strengthening genuine Union spirit, development of healthcare, education sectors and socio-economic development in line with the law and by-laws enacted by the State.

To implement the social objectives set by the State Administration Council including “to implement the multi-education system inclusive of all so as to enhance education and the intellectual level of the entire people and turn out a large number of skilled technicians contributing to the manufacturing sector in order to turn out educated persons” the teaching of ethnic literature in the regions and states is being carried out with the coordination of the Ministry of Education. The ethnic literature and culture to be registered in line with the Registration of Associations Law and the industries having direct interest for the ethnic people are being scrutinized and implemented.

The ethnic literature and culture committees can submit and carry out the ethnic affairs in complying with the law and by-law.

Next, the attended ethnic literature and culture committees reported General matters on the ethnic affairs and the Union Minister fulfilled requirements.

Then, the Union Minister provided 4 million Kyats of cash assistance for the ethnic literature and culture committees to be able to preserve and promote the ethnic literature and cultural affairs.
