One of the subversive media outlets, RFA, spread fabricated news on social media platform, claiming that about 100 houses in Kawkareik of Kayin State were burnt down due to the arson attack and drop bomb by Tatmadaw on 21st February.

Regarding this, the ground investigations and local residents revealed that there was no such action by the Tatmadaw on the said date, instead, the KNLA and PDF terrorists launched random attacks using heavy and small weapons to the security forces and local security columns who are on security operations, resulting in the damaged of residential areas due to explosion.

Likewise, KhitThit Media reported false information on the death of a university student in Taunggup due to bombardment by Tatmadaw helicopter at KyetThayay Village in Ranbye of Rakhine State on 23rd February.

A local security official refuted Tatmadaw’s bombardment, but the local villagers suffered death and injuries by drop bomb attacks by AA insurgent group who launched attack of assuming the presence of military columns in the village. The subversive media outlets disseminate the fabricated news to cause misunderstanding among the public.
