Fresher welcoming ceremony: Mon State CM attended the ceremony

Mon State Chief Minister U Aung Kyi Thein, Chief justice of State high court, State government ministers, rector and pro-rectors, faculty members and students attended the 2023-2024 Academic Year Fresher Welcoming ceremony held at the multipurpose hall of Mawlamyaing University in the morning on 16th January.

First, the ceremony was opened with the dance of students performing the song of eternal loyalty and the State Chief Minister gave a welcoming speech.

Next, the Rector of Mawlamyaing University Dr. Chit Sein extended words of greeting to the students.

Then, the Chief Minister awarded the prizes to the winners in the poem and essay contests held to commemorate 76th Anniversary Independence Day.

Next, the Chief minister provided 1 million Kyats of cash assistance and the Rector accepted and the performance of the students was enjoyed by the Chief Minister, Chief justice of State high court, State government ministers and cordially greeted the students.

Afterward, the Chief Minister and party attended the opening ceremony of advance single cylinder diesel engine repairing and maintenance training, advance welding training and advance brick laying and masonry training with the aims at elimination of child labour and creating job opportunity held at the youth training center in San Gyi ward, Mawlamyaing Township and the Chief Minister gave a remark.

After clarification on the opening of training by the secretary of Mon State Child Labour elimination and creating job opportunity work committee, State Chief Minister, Chief justice of State high court, State government ministers posed for the documentary photo together with the students and cordially greeted them.

The training will be attended by 40 trainees and the training will take place from 16th to 30th January, it’s learnt.
