Gulf of Aden escort

The 46th fleet of the Chinese Navy has completed the mission of escorting cargo ship "Kaituo" to the designated point in the Gulf of Aden on Saturday.

Taking over the escort mission from the 45th naval fleet, it is the first escort mission carried out by the 46th naval fleet. The 46th Chinese Navy escort comprises guided-missile destroyer Jiaozuo, missile frigate Xuchang, and replenishment vessel Honghu.

The 46th Chinese naval escort taskforce will proceed with the escort tasks in the Gulf of Aden and waters off Somalia in place of the 45th taskforce, and, on behalf of China, continue to make active contributions to maintaining world and regional peace and stability.
