Heavy rain damage infrastructure in Tanzania

Flooding due to the torrential rains brought on by Typhoon Hidaya in Lindi and Mtwara regions of Tanzania cuts of access to roads and major infrastructure.

After being cut off by the recent El Nino rains in this regions, the road link between Lindi and Dar Es Salaam is set to reopen on Thursday, according to the statement the Minister of Construction. School infrastructure, farm crops, roads, bridges, health facilities, and livestock have also been impacted by the floods, Prime Minister of Tanzania said.
