Illegal Trade Eradication: Illegal goods worth over 644 million kyats confiscated

Under the supervision of the Anti-Illegal Trade Steering Committee, concerned officials have been making inspections on trade.

On 28th  and 29th November, illegal goods including 130 tons of crystals, used tyres, canned fish, edible oil, Vaseline Lotion, Touch Glass, garlic and 2,000 kg of Label Stickers with an estimated value of more than 644 million kyats were confiscated in MoeKaung Township, at Kyarkalay-Zarthapyin-Mawlamyaing road section, at the Nyaungkhashay x-ray station, in Yatsauk Township and at the Mayanchaung permanent checkpoint. Investigation is underway and legal actions have been taken in line with the laws and procedures.
