Investment Committee meeting: Yangon Region Investment Committee’s meeting held

The Yangon Region Investment Committee’s meeting (1/2024) was held at the committee office in Yankin Township of Yangon Region in the morning on 30th January and attended by the Chief Minister U Soe Thein and committee members region Ministers and region departmental officials.

First, the Chief Minister and party viewed the sample products of the investor entrepreneurs.

At the meeting, the Chief Minister said that the committee is carrying out to facilitate the existing investments to sustain, provide to promote the investment and attract the related new investments, increase of job opportunities and the development of socio-economic life.

During the meeting, the region investment approved 7 (100%) foreign investments in the industrial sector and one local and foreign joint-ventured investment. The amounts of approved investments are 6.399 million USD and those will create 6,551 local jobs opportunities. The committee also made decisions on the submissions of General matters by those 7 companies.
