Literacy campaign: Work coordination meeting on literacy campaign held

The work coordination meeting on the work plan of literacy activities for the implementation of rural population and the ethnic people during April in Mon State was held in the morning on Wednesday and attended by the Chief Minister U Aung Kyi Thein, State Ministers, members of State work supervising committee for literacy activities.

For the implementation of the tasks in the work plan of the literacy activities, the State/district/Township level supervising committees have been formed. The literacy campaign for the rural population and the ethnic people is being carried out extensively. Literacy can change not only a life of individual but also a family, ward even an entire society. The development of the country can be implemented only by the educated persons, intelligentsia and technicians. All responsible persons are urged to put the exerted effort in the implementation of the literacy campaign as a national duty.

The secretary of the State level supervising committee State Minister for social affairs U Saw Kyi Naing clarified the status of work plan of literacy campaign to be implemented in April for the rural population and ethnic people.

After clarifications of the joint-secretary of the supervising committee and the committee members regarding with the related matters, the Chief Minister coordinated requirements and gave a speech of conclusion.
