Market Festival: UMBEEA to hold Pre-Thingyan Market Festival

Myanmar Traditional New Year Pre-Thingyan Market Festival is set to be held at Kantharyar Shopping Center in Yangon.
Preserving the intangible cultural heritage and promoting the local products among the business people to penetrate local and international markets, the Union of Myanmar Bamar Ethnic Entrepreneurs Association organized the event for 2nd time.

UMBEEA, Kyaw Dewa said "The aim is to grow the MSME businesses bigger, to expand the market more and to gain better networking, since most of the association members are the MSME entrepreneurs. Experiencing the last year outdoor event, visitors and guests couldn’t explore the sale booths enough due to the heat so also exhibitors faced some difficulties. To overcome such problems, we, this year arrange to do it indoor, locating at ground floor of Kantharyar Shopping Centre, so that the visitors can take time for the observation avoiding the heat."
Totaling 56 booths showcasing especially Made in Myanmar products including the consumer goods, foods and Myanmar traditional handicrafts are set to display at the market festival which will be held from 24th to 26th of March. During the event, Traditional Thingyan songs and feasts will be entertained for the festive comers.
