Meeting on Union Day celebration: Rakhine State CM addressed the meeting

A work coordination meeting for successful celebration of the 77th Anniversary Union Day, which falls on 12th February 2024 , was held at Rakhine State Government Office on Tuesday afternoon in the presence of Chief Minister U Htein Lin, accompanied by State Government members and State/District/Township level departmental personnel.

In his speech, the Chief Minister said that the commemorative day that panglong agreement was signed, is marked as Union Day on February 12, 1947.  In 2024, it will be 77th anniversary of successful celebration of Union day in conjunction with the national flag hoisting and saluting as well as message reading ceremonies, he added.

The organizing committees and work committees have been systematically formed for organizing the Union Day celebration. He urged all to put all-round efforts in successful holding of ceremony in grandeur and emphasized the need to provide continuous supervision in order to successfully implement committee's works undertaking.

And, the Director of Rakhine State Government Office clarified about the order for the formation of the organizing committee and work committees. The relevant secretaries of work committees gave briefings on the preparation measures for the successful holding of the ceremony respectively.

The State Government members gave supplemented discussion of the requirements upon the presentations. Then, the Chief Minister reviewed the necessary issues and gave a closing speech.
