A ceremony was held at the Memorial to the Fallen Heroes in Nay Pyi Taw on Sunday to pay tribute and salute the soldiers who sacrificed their lives in service to the state, upholding the rule of law, and preserving sovereignty.

Senior Military Officers from the Commander-in-Chief (Army) Office, the Chairman of the Central Executive Committee of the Myanmar War Veterans Association, members, leaders of political parties, charity organizations, and those who support Tatmadaw attended the ceremony.

During the event, attendees chanted the National Anthem, saluted the National Flag and fallen soldiers across different eras, and recited the 4 Oaths. A 2-minute silence was observed as a remembrance for the fallen soldiers. Gas balloons were released in dedication, symbolizing a journey to the noble abode, and white doves were released to commemorate the pursuit of lasting peace.

Wreaths were laid by the attendees, paying respects to the fallen soldiers. In the morning, as a dedication to the fallen soldiers, meals and offerings were donated to members of the Sangha at Thadar Yone Monastery in Pauk Taw Village of Pobbathiri Township.
